About

Kahanbu Thila
Also known as Kuda Maafushivaru Giri.

Kahanbu in Dhivehi (the local language) means 'Hawksbill turtle' and these are frequently sited on this small reef. The black coral trees surrounded by small glass fish are a striking feature of this reef. It is also the home of 'Fred' the frog fish. Here you also can find lion fish, scorpion fish, the very shy comet fish and white tip reef sharks cruising around.
